Alaska Airlines names MD of loyalty

Ryan Butz has joined Alaska Airlines as its new managing director of loyalty, responsible for its Mileage Plan program.
Butz will also oversee the Alaska Airlines credit card program and customer communications.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in branding and customer retention at major companies in the telecoms sector.
"Ryan comes with extensive customer relationship management experience from Verizon, T-Mobile and Microsoft. He’s a strong leader and is very passionate about the customer and delivering results," said Sangita Woerner, Alaska Airlines vice president of marketing.
Butz has a Business Administration marketing degree from Colorado State University.
