Alaska Airlines selects Starlink for inflight Wi-Fi
Alaska Airlines is the latest major airline to pick Elon Musk’s Starlink for inflight connectivity.
Starting in 2026, the airline will offer an upgraded inflight experience with ‘the fastest, most reliable Wi-Fi in the sky on every flight.’
Alaska will install Starlink tech on all planes – regional, narrowbody and widebody and expects all to be fitted by 2027
They will join sister brand Hawaiian Airlines’ Starlink-equipped aircraft.
Hawaiian Airlines was the first major US airline to offer Starlink.
“With Starlink already live on Hawaiian Airlines and installations starting this winter across Alaska’s fleet, we’re proud that we’ll offer the fastest, most reliable inflight internet in the skies,” said Ben Minicucci, Alaska Air Group CEO.
It will free to the airline’s most loyal guests, he said.
