Allegiant Air launching 28 new routes
No frills carrier Allegiant Airlines has unveiled its biggest ever new flight announcement with 28 new services and three new airports added to its network.
The new cities are Milwaukee, Norfolk, Va and Gulfport Biloxi, Miss.
A single route from Gulfport to Orlando-Sanford begins on Aug. 30, and Norfolk and Milwaukee service take off later in the year.
Allegiant announced four routes from Milwaukee to Florida plus Phoenix Mesa starting from October.
Norfolk also gets three routes to the Sunshine State, to Orlando-Sanford, St. Petersburg and Fort Lauderdale.
Las Vegas, Cincinnati and Los Angeles all get new routes while Phoenix-Mesa is welcoming eight new destinations.
"We’re so excited to grow our network and add service in Gulfport, Norfolk and Milwaukee," said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant SVP of commercial.
"With the addition of three new cities and a major expansion of service into Phoenix, we’ll be able to offer some great fall travel options, with convenient, nonstop service across the country.
To mark the ‘largest-ever announcement of new service in the company’s history’ Allegiant is touting $29 one-way fares for travel until February 13, which are bookable through Thursday June 22.
