Allegiant offers free masks and gloves to all passengers
While nearly all airlines are now mandating face masks for passengers, Allegiant Airlines is going a step further.
It is providing free personal protective equipment kits to all flyers.
The one-use kits include a disposable face mask, non-latex gloves and cleaning wipes.
The airline will start rolling out the kits this week, said chief operating officer Scott Sheldon.
"Our 4,500 Allegiant team members across America are one hundred percent focused on making sure your travels are as safe and seamless as possible," Sheldon said.
Airlines including the big four, Alaska Air, Hawaiian and Frontier are all joining JetBlue by making the wearing of face masks compulsory from this month.
