Aloft brand coming to Japan
Marriott International is introducing the Aloft brand to Japan.
Aloft will debut in Tokyo and open in time for the city’s hosting of the 2020 Olympic Games.
Marriott inked an agreement with The Sankei Building Co., Ltd for the new-build Aloft Tokyo Ginza which is expected to have 206 keys spread over 16 floors.
It will have Aloft signature features including keyless room entry, all-day dining and grab-and-Go outlet Re:fuel, W XYZ bar, and Re:charge fitness centre.
"We are thrilled to announce the signing of Aloft Tokyo Ginza. Inbound travel to Japan is increasing every year," said Paul Foskey, Marriott’s chief development officer, Asia Pacific.
The hotel site is in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo’s upscale entertainment, shopping and dining district.
"We are honoured to partner with Marriott International to bring this tech-savvy brand to Japan. We look forward to attracting travellers who want to express themselves, be social and have fun exploring Tokyo," said Kazunobu Iijima, president & CEO, The Sankei Building Co., Ltd.
