Aloft brand expands in Asia
Starwood Hotels and Resorts has announced today that the Aloft brand – known for its "style at a steal" branding – will open in South Korea in late 2014.
The first Aloft in South Korea will be the Aloft Suwon located in Yeongtong-dong in the center of Suwon, the provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do.
The hotel will be about 60 kilometers from Incheon International Airport and 30 kilometers from Seoul.
Starwood’s Stephen Ho, president, Asia Pacific said: "While (we) maintained a long-standing presence in South Korea since the opening of the Westin Chosun Busan, this signing marks an important milestone in our overall growth strategy to expand the Aloft brand. Aloft Suwon will add to ten existing Aloft hotels in the Asia Pacific region."
