American Airlines, BA co-locate operations at New York JFK

American Airlines and British Airways wll welcome customers at their renovated Terminal 8 location at New York JFK Airport.

Starting on December 1, customers get seamless travel connections as the two airlines co-locate operations.

It marks the completion of the first phase of redevelopment of the airport.

New York Governor Hochul said: “The completion of Terminal 8 is a milestone in our efforts to build a new JFK worthy of New York,”

Operational upgrades of Terminal 8 include new widebody gates, new widebody parking positions, and an expanded baggage handling system.

The terminal has also been expanded with approximately 130,000 square feet of space.

Upon arrival at JFK, premium customers will be greeted at the new co-branded premium check-in area.

Once through security, there are three lounges.

The move by BA brings it closer to its partner airlines as Terminal 8 becomes home for five oneworld alliance carriers.
