American signs five-year Sabre distribution deal
American Airlines is the latest of the big six US carriers to forge a full content distribution deal with Sabre.
The five year agreement provides for full American Airlines content in the Sabre GDS’s Efficient Access Solution with no booking source premium charged by the airline for agencies participating in the programme.
This provides protection against any further GDS booking surcharges that may possibly be implemented by airlines.
The pact with American follows Sabre Travel Network’s preferred GDS agreement with Lufthansa announced last week.
