American to put Dreamliner on Manchester-Chicago route
American Airlines will put the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on its Manchester Airport to Chicago O’Hare route this summer.
The airline will fly the Dreamliner on the daily service from June 3, replacing the existing 767-300. It will bring an extra 154 seats a week, in each direction, to the route.
American Airlines, which also flies from Manchester to New York JFK and Philadelphia International, celebrates its 30th anniversary of operating from the airport this year.
"Serving Manchester, along with our joint business partner British Airways, is crucial to maintaining our strong competitive position in the UK," said David Thomas, director sales UK & Ireland.
