Andy Murray hotel to hold staff recruitment day

Saturday, 13 Dec, 2013 0

A hotel owned by Wimbledon Tennis champion Andy Murray will hold a recruitment day on Saturday.

The Cromlix House Hotel, close to Murray’s home town Dunblane, is looking to fill a variety of positions including waiters, housemaids, gardeners and management. It is in the middle of a total refurbishment and will re-open on April 1 next year, having created up to 40 jobs.

The recruitment day will be held at the Dunblane Centre in Dunblane, from 11:00hrs to 14:00hrs.

Murray invested in the Perthshire hotel last February,  saying he wanted to transform the 15-bedroom property into a five-star destination.

The hotel will be managed on behalf of Andy by Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI), who already manage eight other renowned independent properties around Scotland, including Inverlochy Castle, near Fort William, Greywalls Hotel in Gullane and The Atholl, in Edinburgh.

It will also boast a Chez Roux restaurant offering fine dining using locally sourced produce.

The property offers a range of activities, including tennis courts and a tennis practice wall.

It will also host weddings, with services taking place in its own private chapel, which TravelMole reckons would make the perfect venue for a tennis champ’s nuptials. Just saying Andy, just saying.
