Another casualty of Katrina – Delta Queen
Delta Queen Steamboat Company announced cancellation of all American Queen Voyages through 6 March due to the devastation of New Orleans.
The American Queen had been sailing three-and four-night cruises this year.
Delta Queen said it is making the boat available to help in relief efforts. The company has also set up a foundation to help employees of the area impacted by the hurricane.
Delta Queen President Bruce Nierenberg said callers seeking refunds or making contributions should expect busy telephone lines.
“The people of Delta Queen appreciate your support and understanding during a difficult period,” he said.
