Another Stella appointment
Following the recent appointment of industry leader Keith Stanley to head up marketing and John Simmonds to head up development, Stella Resorts Group has announced the appointment of Bob East as Chief Executive Officer.
Having worked extensively in hospitality both in Australia and Japan and for the past eight years holding senior management positions in Melbourne and Sydney, Mr East, originally from Queensland is returning to the Gold Coast after his most recent executive role at Mirvac.
Mr East holds tertiary qualifications in Education and Commerce and has an MBA.
Stella Resorts is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MFS Limited, an Australian diversified investment company in the funds management sector, with Stella owning, leasing, managing and marketing a rapidly expanding portfolio of branded and independent hotels, apartments and retreats in Australia and New Zealand.
Stella says that they offer the full spectrum of accommodation from budget-friendly escapes to luxury indulgence under brands including Bale, Peppers, Mantra, Pacific International and BreakFree.
MFS Tourism also operates the Hotham and Falls Creek ski resorts.
