Antigua rolls out new digital arrival and departure system
All foreign travellers including British holidaymakers heading to Antigua and Barbuda can now enjoy a smoother start thanks to the rollout of www.ArriveAntigua.com – a new digital arrival and departure system.
It is designed to streamline passenger processing at V.C. Bird International Airport.
Developed by the Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment in collaboration with Immigration and Customs and Excise Division, the platform allows travellers to pre-submit their details and spend less time at the airport.
“This is an important milestone in our mission to enhance the visitor experience,” said The Hon Charles Fernandez, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Transportation.
“With ArriveAntigua.com, we are prioritising efficiency, ease, and a seamless transition from plane to paradise.”
No app is needed, so travellers only need to visit www.ArriveAntigua.com on their phone or other device.
For speed, a quick photo of the passport allows the form to pre-fill essential details.
Within 72 hours of their flight, passengers answer a few short questions about their trip and customs declarations.
On completion, a QR code is issued to be shown at Immigration and Customs. It can be saved to an iPhone Wallet, via screenshot, or accessed through the confirmation email.
The platform will soon be expanded to include arrivals via seaport and for private jet passengers landing at FBOs across Antigua and Barbuda.
