Appointment at Cheapflights
Cheapflights Ltd has appointed Mike Elliot as its London-based programme and project manager.
He will report to chief technical officer, Chris Martin, and will have responsibilities for managing the delivery of major technical projects and initiatives, co-ordinating multiple work streams, and providing resource management support for the team.
He joins from similar roles at Opodo, BSG, and Atomic Tangerine.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Cheapflights has confirmed that the company is looking for a “liquidity event” later this year.
He said last autumn the company spoke to a number of investment banks to seek advice about a refinancing, IPO, or trade sale in order to repay some of its shareholders.
“There has been no appointment of an investment bank and no decision has been made,” he said.
The online flight comparison site is run by David Soskin and Hugo Burge, who are part owners, along with Burge’s father Oliver.
