APT gains back to back UK industry award
The UK travel industry has again this year voted Australian Pacific Touring the Best Australian Supplier at its annual OzCAR awards staged by Tourism Australia in London recently. The OzCAR awards are designed to recognize and celebrate excellence and achievement in the sales and marketing of Australia.
The award for the Best Australian Supplier is voted for by the UK industry and judges look for activities and contributions outside normal expectations. Staff learning and development was a key theme among this year’s winners.
In the UK, APT markets its complete range of Australian touring styles including cruising, coach travel, rail, extended tours, short breaks and 4WD adventures.
APT Director UK/Europe Gary Bartelings said the award was a reflection that the products offered by APT ensured that our customers had the best possible choices when visiting Australia. He said APT had some new openings this year with a brand new Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge in the Northern Territory and the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge tented cabin upgrade in Western Australia.
These Wilderness Lodges demonstrate how APT is evolving to cater for the Australian visitor who demands authenticity and quality.
