ARC: sales below last year
Total sales for September of this year were just under $6 billion, or 2% below the same month in 2003, reported ARC.
“International fares remained favorable at 7% higher than September 2003, while the larger domestic fare volume ended the month at 10% below,” ARC said.
That left total fares 4% short of the September 2003 results.
Average weekly sales per agency location were $50,138, exceeding the same month in 2003 by 8%.
ARC reported that E-ticketing transaction continued to be “significant,” and 87.1% of all transactions processed by ARC are now paperless.
ARC is the premier provider of financial settlement solutions and data and analytical services for the travel industry.
