Atari Hotel to open in Las Vegas in 2022
Las Vegas and Phoenix, Arizona will be the first locations for the new Atari Hotels brand.
The famed video game developer inked a licencing agreement with US real estate developer True North Studio and GSD Group earlier this year for a number of hotels in key US cities.
Hotels are also slated for Austin, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle.
Architecture and design agency Gensler will create spaces ‘unlike other hotel destinations’ in Las Vegas with elements of the past, present and future of gaming, it says.
The hotel will be housed in a landmark tower and will feature retro video arcades, art galleries and other themed entertainment.
It is expected to have 400 rooms.
There will also be a gaming arena and e-sports multiplex.
The Phoenix property breaks ground this year and is exopected to open first, followed by the Atari Las Vegas in 2022.
