ATF ready for bumper 2011 show
Asean Tourism Forum has sold more than 500 exhibition booths for its Travex show in Phnom Penh next month.
All 10 member-nations will be well represented at the annual travel trade event which showcases the largest contingent of ASEAN destination products and services.
Some 400 hosted buyers include delegates from Asia-Pacific (55 percent), Europe (37 per cent) and the rest of the world.
A total of 1,600 delegates are expected at ATF 2011 from January 15-21.
Said So Mara, Secretary of State, Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia, “ASEAN is one of the few regions in the world that offers a lot of tourism value in the international market. Demand for ASEAN will continue to grow.â€
ATF 2011 marks the event’s 30th anniversary. ATF TRAVEX, the three-day travel trade mart component of the event, will take place from January 19-21 at the Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Dr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, Cambodia said, “This year’s theme ‘A World of Wonders and Diversity’ embodies everything that Cambodia has to offer as a compelling destination.â€
