Atlantis Rises from the Arabian Gulf
Atlantis, The Palm is rising off the Dubai coastline on the largest man-made island in the world – The Palm Jumeirah. This will be Sol Kerzner’s most exciting project to date and will become one of the world’s “must see” destinations.
The 1,539-room destination resort will be the flagship property of The Palm and the first to open at the end of 2008. It will boast a 50-acre waterscape, the largest in the region, being home to 65,000 fish and aquatic animals, and a giant playground of water thrills. It will also bring more internationally acclaimed chefs to the emirate including Nobu Matsuhisa and Giorgio Locatelli.
The Palm was unveiled by Ian Scott, the new director of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s UK and Ireland representative office and Alan Leibman, President of Atlantis, The Palm at the World Travel Market in November 2007.
Dubai is renowned for its innovative and adventurous attitude to development. Atlantis, The Palm will be one of the major iconic projects that continue to set the emirate apart from its competitors and maintain its position as a leading world-class business and leisure travel destination.
