Aviareps rolls out B2B Platform SmoothTravel with Shanghai Government
Shanghai has an official online B2B travel platform, called SmoothTravel.
It has been established in a collaboration of the Shanghai Municipal Government and international representation and communications firm AVIAREPS.
SmoothTravel will serve as the official gateway for the global travel trade to connect with inbound and outbound East China travel agencies, wholesalers, OTAs and MICE agents.
The platform is designed for all segments of the travel industry globally, including destinations, tour operators, hotels, retailers, attractions, and cruise lines.
It offers a China Partner Search function to network with new inbound or outbound China travel trade partners.
Members can connect with Smooth Travel’s Member Matching Manager, facilitating introductions to qualified Chinese travel trade partners based on specific requirements.
Risk Mitigation: SmoothTravel has a payment guarantee system to minimise risks with new China travel industry partners.
A comprehensive travel insurance program is also offered for Chinese members to ensure risk reduction for both outbound and inbound sectors. There is also a bilingual mediation system to resolve any disputes.
China Outbound Market and Consumer Insights: The platform gives access to the latest research on China’s outbound travel market, industry trends, and consumer preferences.
This includes surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, workshops, and on-site visits.
Training: SmoothTravel will have a two-way training platform with courses for both overseas and Chinese members. All members can access promotion and support during various events in China.
Market Research: Members can also commission SmoothTravel for custom-tailored tourism market research to help their marketing strategies.
