BA boosts Caribbean Tourism Recovery Fund
British Airways has donated £25,000 to the Caribbean Tourism Recovery Fund, set up to aid destinations devastated by hurricanes this year.
The money was presented at World Travel Market to Karolin Troubetzkoy, president of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), which set up the fund after many destinations were severely hit by Hurricane Irma.
The CHTA has partnered with non-profit group Tourism Cares to run the fund.
The fund focuses on islands directly affected by Irma and Hurricane Maria, which hit the Caribbean in September.
