BA sells share in Air Mauritius
British Airways has relinquished its involvement in Air Mauritius.
BA has sold its shares in the flag carrier to share holders including the government of Mauritius.
British Airways’ area general manager Asia Pacific and the airline’s representative on the Air Mauritius Board Robbie Baird, said: “Our investment in Air Mauritius no longer forms a core part of our business strategy. We invested in the airline when it was a start-up airline. It is now a successful carrier, operating to the highest standards and no longer requires our involvement and support.â€
