Bahamas bookings go online

Wednesday, 14 May, 2004 0

Online holiday booking has been added to the Bahamas Tourist Office website.

Thomson Worldwide, Tropical Places and direct-sell British Airways Holidays are offering holiday availability through the site at www.bahamas.co.uk.

The booking capability has been developed by operator Holidays2Go, which has customised its booking system to meet the needs of the tourist office.

Holidays2Go chairman Tom Armstrong said an information rich database had been developed for visitors to the site, which enabled customers to either book on line or by telephone.

“The system is ideal for participating tour operators in that they have total control over both the inventory and the price of all holidays displayed,” he said.

The tourist office’s European market development manager Franz Hepburn “Clearly, we wanted to continue to work with our tour operator partners and therefore sought a company that could deliver a special offer and booking facility that would work with all operators with Bahamas programmes.”
