Bangkok hotel deaths: Cyanide poisoning suspected
The mysterious deaths of six guests at a Bangkok hotel is a possible murder-suicide, police say.
They say one of the guests laced cups of tea with cyanide.
According to investigators, traces of cyanide were found in a tea flask and six cups.
A room service worker delivered the tea and food to one of the group’s rooms at the Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel.
They consisted of four Vietnamese citizens and two Americans.
Noppasin Poonsawat, deputy commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau said the FBI is assisting in the investigation.
They believe it could be over a business dispute.
The US state department is ‘closely monitoring‘ the case.
