Barrhead Travel to open first outlet at Edinburgh Airport
Barrhead Travel is to open a store in Edinburgh Airport as part of a £1 million investment that will also see a new outlet in the city centre.
The agency expects to create 20 new jobs when it opens at Edinburgh Airport and on Hanover Street. The Edinburgh Airport outlet is the first of its kind for the airport.
The Hanover Street outlet will also house a foreign exchange bureau.
Chief executive Sharon Munro said: "Business growth and reinvestment continues to be front of mind for us.
"We want to be accessible to our customers and these new shops will be an excellent addition to our already impressive portfolio of stores.
"The branch at Edinburgh Airport means that, in addition to sourcing travellers’ holidays, we will also have a unit on site which can assist our corporate travel accounts’ travellers too."
