Friday, 14 Feb, 2007 0

With pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training February 15, a new Major League Baseball season is not far away. One of Roadtrips’ most popular packages, the Baseball Hall of Fame 2 tour is a unique baseball experience perfect for any baseball fan.

This fully escorted tour gives travelers the opportunity to visit four major league parks including Yankee Stadium and the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. The six-day Hall of Fame Tour runs from August 14-19 and includes first class accommodations, a behind-the-scenes tour of Rogers Centre (formerly the SkyDome), a visit to Niagara Falls and premium tickets to games in Toronto, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and New York.

The group tour opens in Toronto with a tour of the Rogers Centre, home of the Blue Jays that includes visits to the press box, dugouts and luxury boxes. After a lunch overlooking the field during batting practice, fans will then walk down to their seats and watch the LA Angels of Anaheim play the Jays. The next day, the tour travels by deluxe private coach to magnificent Niagara Falls for a chance to enjoy the Falls before continuing on to Cleveland and picturesque Jacobs Field for an evening matchup with the 2006 American League Champs, the Detroit Tigers.

Other ballpark stops on this fully escorted tour are PNC Park in Pittsburgh for a New York Mets – Pirates match-up and Yankee Stadium in New York for a Tigers – Yankees game before the tour heads to upstate New York and the mecca of baseball fans everywhere – Cooperstown. Fans can spend the afternoon exploring this quaint town and the National Baseball Hall of Fame before heading back to Syracuse for the night. The tour ends the next day in Toronto.

Land cost for the tour is $1,395 double or triple occupancy and $1,895 for singles. Options for extra nights and extra games are available. Three other tour itineraries featuring other ballparks are also available. For more information call 1-800-465-1765 or visit www.roadtrips.com/baseball
