Beatles theme hotel to open in Liverpool
A £20 million hotel featuring Beatles themed artwork is due to open in Liverpool in January.
The four-start boutique Hard Days Night Hotel will open to coincide with the city becoming the 2008 European Capital of Culture.
The Grade II listed property is yards from the world famous Cavern Club where the Beatles first rose to fame.
The hotel will feature 110 rooms, including executive rooms and two penthouses – specially designed Lennon & McCartney suites – the Lennon featuring a white grand piano.
Specially commissioned artwork, created by acclaimed Beatles artist Shannon, will be featured through the 110 rooms and public areas, telling the story of the band.
The hotel will include two restaurants, two bars, two conference rooms for private entertaining and corporate events and a wedding chapel.
Trevor Lynn, of Hard Days Night Hotel (HMI Ltd) said: “The city of Liverpool is steeped in Beatles history and with the help of Shannon’s stunning artwork, we believe that Hard Days Night Hotel is the perfect addition. We are delighted that after much anticipation, the hotel is about to become a reality.”
