Bedswithease close to signing strategic partnerships
Bedswithease, the trade only bedbank, is ‘close to finalising’ a number of new strategic partnerships to increase its distribution into key markets outside of the UK and Ireland.
The news was shared by sales director Paul Riches at the company’s annual Christmas agent VIP lunch.
Riches also told agents that Bedswithease would be expanding into the long haul and cities markets in 2018.
"We have been historically weak in these areas and so will be expanding our buying team further, in order to secure direct contracts in key cities and long haul areas," he said.
Riches said the company was looking for further growth in 2018, after claiming 2017 was the company’s ‘best ever trading year’, although he did not disclose figures.
He said the group had placed ‘even greater emphasis’ on direct contracts, had expanded its buying team with three new appointments, and had increased its range of hotels in the Balearic Islands, Portugal and the Canary Islands.
“We are fully committed to supporting the trade and are now also looking to strengthen the Bedswithease team with two new senior appointments in both sales and yield positions. These appointments will help us to achieve our ambitious growth plans over the next two to three years,” he added.
The lunch was attended by over 60 key agents and supported by the Malta National tourist board, A2B Transfers and Holiday discount centre.
Bedswithease was formed in 2001 and over 95% of its business comes from the UK market.
