Berlin attacker ‘still at large’
German police have released a man arrested over the Berlin terror attack and believe the culprit behind it is still free and could be armed and dangerous.
Germany’s Die Welt newspaper is quoting an unnamed senior police source saying: "We have the wrong man and therefore a new situation.
"The true perpetrator is still armed, at large, and can cause fresh damage."
Earlier reports had said police had arrested a 23-year-old Pakistani asylum seeker, Naved Baluch, after picking him up at a refugee centre a mile and half away from the Christmas market where the attack took place.
But he denied responsibility and has now been freed.
Security is being reviewed across the UK following the incident, in which 12 people died and 49 others were injured, some of them still in a critical condition.
As part of the review, roads around Buckingham Palace will be closed during the changing of the guard.
From today, surrounding roads will be shut from 10:45 to 12:30 GMT on the days of the ceremony.
