Virgin Australia will appoint a new role at the airline, the Virgin Australia High Flyer, to be awarded to one of the 18 finalists as part of Tourism Australia’s Best Jobs in the World Campaign.

The international Best Job finalists have arrived in Sydney, marking the final stage of the search.

Over the next 10 days, the finalists will undergo a range of skill-tests and interviews as they compete for one of six highly-coveted roles on offer.

The High Flyer will fly around Australia with Virgin Australia, tasked with uncovering new innovations in world-class service across a range of categories including dining, culture and entertainment.

Virgin Australia chief customer officer Mark Hassell said: "The role of High Flyer will allow us to gather rich insights, trends and new ideas in service from right across Australia to expand and enhance our own service offering."

The winner of the Virgin role, an extra job to the six Best Jobs on offer, will be announced on June 21.
