Best Western continues rapid expansion
Best Western Australasia (BWA) expects to have a portfolio across Australia and New Zealand of 183 hotels, apartments and resorts by the end of 2013.
BWA opened six hotels in Australia during August and September this year, three properties in New South Wales and three properties in Tasmania.
The Best Western Ballina Island Motor Inn located in Ballina, 20 minutes’ drive from Byron Bay in New South Wales, is the newest addition to the hotel group.
Rob Anderson, Best Western Australasia chief executive, said the group is witnessing an important period of growth, with hotel bookings up 14% over the past winter season compared to the same time last year.
“Across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, the demand for travel is increasing. As a result, we are expanding our accommodation offering by moving into new regions,” Anderson said.
