Bet on a growing convention market in Vegas
A trend in Las Vegas: non-gaming hotels.
One of the latest examples was the 548-room Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, the largest non-gaming hotel in the city which recently opened adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Growing numbers of business and convention travelers are increasing mid-week occupancy, say tourism officials.
The Renaissance, which has 32,000 square feet of meeting space, is aimed mostly at business travelers.
There’s $6 billion in planned expansions and new construction in Las Vegas planned for this year, officials said.
