Blue Lagoon repeats Conde Nast Johansens success
Fiji’s Blue Lagoon Cruises has repeated its 2006 success one again becoming the only luxury cruise ship operator to be awarded prestigious ‘Recommended Property’ status in the 2007 edition of the “Conde Nast Johansens Luxury Hotel Guides”.
The boutique island cruise specialist again joins an extremely select group consisting of just 285 recommended hotels, resorts and spas around the world chosen by influential international hotel guide publisher Conde Nast Johansens for its 2006 guide.
The ‘Recommended Property’ status has been awarded to two of the Blue Lagoon Cruises’ programs the company operates in Fiji ’s unspoiled Yasawa Islands .
These include a four-day ‘Gold Club’ cruise aboard the MV Mystique Princess and a seven-day “Gold Club’ option aboard the MV Fiji Princess.
Getting into the ‘Conde Nast Johansens Luxury Hotel Guides’ is no mean feat with a team of 50 regionally-located ‘inspectors’ dispatched annually to review thousands of hotels, country houses, inns and resorts.
These properties are located in 39 countries throughout the Americas , the Atlantic region, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Each of the properties selected for 2007 has been required to meet a challenging set of key criteria ranging from ‘individual charm’ and ‘character’ through to the all important superior service.
According to Conde Nast Johansens, Vice President and Publishing Director for the Americas , Lesley O’Malley-Keyes, only properties that met the exacting requirements had been included in the 2007 guide with Blue Lagoon Cruises proving “an exemplary illustration”.
Blue Lagoon Cruises’ Director Commercial Operations, Scott Forrest said the inclusion in the 2007 ‘Conde Nast Johansens Luxury Hotel Guides’ represented a major coup for the company.
“The accolade is representative of the high levels of service that have become a hallmark of a Blue Lagoon Cruise experience.
“The inclusion in the 2007 guide effectively positions the company in direct view of a very discerning worldwide audience in excess of 13 million travelers,” he said.
