Body recovered after cruise ship overboard incident
The body of a young woman was recovered after a cruise ship overboard incident off the Australian coast.
The missing 23-year-old passenger was found dead in the water after an extensive air and sea search.
She was on the Pacific Explorer ship on a short cruise to Kangaroo Island.
Carnival Australia said it was an ‘incredibly distressing situation’ for guests with some in tears.
The cause of the cruise ship overboard hasn’t been disclosed.
Carnival Australia said it is cooperating with Victoria Police as it investigates the death.
