A major force in holiday rentals as well as hotels, it has more than 28 million total reported accommodation listings.
This includes over 6.6 million listings in private homes and apartments worldwide.
Booking.com joins Airbnb and Expedia as full members of the association.
STAA now represents more than 90% of the properties in the UK available on a short term rental basis.
Fiona MacConnacher, UK Public Affairs Manager, Booking.com, said, “We recognise the positive work that the STAA has been doing on behalf of the industry.”
“We are keen to contribute to its strategy and contribute to tackling common industry challenges.”
