Brazil tourism taps TikTok for tourism promotion resources
Embratur has inked a landmark partnership with TikTok to boost its global exposure as a tourist destination.
It will focus on presenting Brazil to the world.
The national tourism promotion agency and TikTok announced an initiative that will train small and medium-sized companies, in addition to agents linked to tourism in the country, through digital workshops.
The first free training session takes place on April 3.
President of Embratur, Marcelo Freixo, said the partnership is significant due to TikTok’s size and global influence.
It can be an important tool for ‘those who do tourism on the front lines.’
“Training them and giving them access to a tool like TikTok, so that they can present their business and their destination, is a very important for us to help those who are on the front lines, in addition to being an opportunity to showcase Brazil.
“I think of everyone from the entrepreneur to those who welcome tourists in restaurants, hotels and reception areas and these are the people we want to reach”, said Freixo.
“TikTok is a discovery platform and that is powerful for tourism. The community is extremely engaged in discovering new places, creating itineraries and learning interesting facts about the places they want to visit,” added director of Business Marketing for SMEs at TikTok Latin America, Silvia Belluzzo.
The presentation included testimonials from people who have boosted their businesses through TikTok.
The first webinar next month will present tools and strategies to enable micro and small businesses (SMEs) in the sector to use the platform as a digital marketing and sales tool.
The topics to be covered include: diverse and engaged audiences, accessible advertising tools, creative and informal content, and the possibility of partnerships with influencers.
In addition, the two companies will make available an ebook aimed at creating storytelling and using the platform to sell products and services.
Brazil tourism SMEs can register for the webinar now.
