Breeze Airways orders more Airbus A220 jets
New carrier Breeze Airways has ordered 20 more Airbus A220-300 aircraft. It adds to an existing 60-jet order. The deal is worth about $1.8 billion at list prices.
The extra aircraft will help the airline expand aggressively into new markets in the coming years. Breeze CEO David Neeleman said it opted to order more jets now as ‘it is a pretty sought-after plane’ and he expects longer delivery times for future buyers.
