British tourist killed in taxi car crash
A British tourist has been killed after being hit by an alleged stolen car in Australia within an hour of arriving at Perth airport.
The 36-year-old Briton, whose name has been withheld by police until his relatives have been informed, died when the taxi he was in was hit by another car.
The tourist and the 28-year-old cab driver were killed in the crash as the taxi was making its way into Perth at 2am, reports the Daily Mail.
Police said the man would have been in Australia for little more than an hour when he was killed.
The 23-year-old driver of the other car, who suffered a broken leg in the crash, has been charged with two counts of manslaughter.
