British unruly passengers arrested after in-flight chaos
Two unruly passengers from the UK face serious charges after alcohol-fuelled disruptive behaviour on a transatlantic flight.
Anthony Joseph James Kirby and Damien Jake Murphy, both 36, face US federal charges of assault and interfering with a flight crew.
Their Cancun to Manchester flight had to be diverted to Bangor, Maine.
They face long prison sentences if convicted,
An FBI affidavit says after being denied more alcohol they continued drinking from their own bottle.
They are accused of uttering racial slurs and assaulting flight crew.
“During the flight, the men became loud and disruptive,” the affidavit said.
They were removed by police along with a third person who was not charged.
