Brittany ferries launches improved agents training programme
A 20% increase in travel agents completing the Brittany Ferries Self-Study Training Programme has led the cruise ferry and holiday operator to update its educational process and recently re-launched the programme both as a manual and, for the first time in 2002, on the web.
The Programme, which was completed by nearly 1,000 agents last year, is currently being sent out to travel agencies that have registered in advance. It can also be found on Brittany Ferries website. Agents wishing to register to use the site, which requires a password, should visit www.brittanyferries.co.uk/agents and use the ‘Request an Account’ option.
The training manual offers a comprehensive guide to Brittany Ferries products and covers areas such as making bookings, ship information, information on the holiday programmes to France and Spain, and an extensive Trade Support section detailing assistance available to agents when working with Brittany Ferries.
On successful completion of the quiz within the Training Programme, agents receive a £100 travel voucher which can also be used in conjunction with Brittany Ferries Travel Agent’s Concessions Scheme.
