BSI upgrades online self-booking technology
Accommodation, meetings and event management provider BSI has upgraded is online self-booking tool BSI Direct.
New features include richer content that can be tailored by bookers, lowest cost booking options and a faster booking process.
The investment comes as growing numbers of clients use the online facility, moving away from the traditional approach of booking by telephone.
Online migration growth has increased by more than 27% this year, according to the company.
New companies deploying the system from traditional travel management environments are achieving average room rate reduction of between 12% and 18%, as a result of better rate and availability access for BSI Direct’s multi channels such as direct connect, internet, GDS and allocation, BSI claims.
Commercial director Trevor Elswood said: “Clients can grow with the tool to fine tune savings and control, while the heightened content enables users to have access to more detailed and relevant information on property selection, particularly in relation to environmental, CSR and safety corporate compliance requirements.
“Our goal has been to become a leading procurement tool by developing some of the most advanced online policy configurations available in the market, whilst making the tool’s functionality very user friendly to ensure optimum adoption and the users booking method of choice.”
