Budget chain adds 1,270 rooms by Christmas

Travelodge is to open 17 hotels by Christmas, adding 1,270 rooms to its UK portfolio.

The new openings will create 400 jobs and are part of expansion plans which will see the budget chain offering 32,000 rooms by 2010. The company currently has 292 hotels providing 18,500 rooms in the UK, Ireland and Spain.

A special introductory room rate of £15 is available to mark the new hotels.

Kendal

Birmingham Maypole (City centre)

Ayr
