Buffalo Tours goes global in merger with Olympus Tours
Asia based Buffalo Tours is going global and will operate under a new brand name.
It is merging with sister company Olympus Tours, a ground operator in Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, and will do business under the Discova brand.
Both businesses are part of the Flight Centre Travel Group stable and generate a combined US$100 million in annual revenue.
The merger gives Discova a presence in 14 countries in Asia, Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
"This merger is not about changing who we are – it’s about underscoring our core values and strengthening the alignment between our businesses," said Greg Kitchen, Discova MD.
Complementing Buffalo Tours’ leading position in responsible tourism, Discova will offer day touring, ground transportation, educational travel and MICE services.
"This will allow us to expand our global reach so that we can remain at the forefront of in-destination travel services," Kitchen added.
Discova’s brand positioning will unveiled ahead of its debut at November’s World Travel Mart in London.
