‘Bumper Holiday Monday’ tipped to be bigger than ever
British Airways Holidays is predicting a busier than ever Bumper Holiday Monday after seeing bookings increase over the festive period.
This Monday coming, January 6, is set to be the busiest day for summer holiday bookings.
The operator said this year it saw a 102% increase in the number of holidays booked on Christmas Day and a 62% increase on Boxing Day compared to last year.
"This together with signs of an improving economy suggests ‘Bumper Holiday Monday’ is set to be busier than ever," it said.
The top BA Holidays destinations being booked include Orlando, Barbados, Las Vegas, Barcelona, Dubai and St Lucia. City breaks topping the list include New York, Rome, Venice, Barcelona and Berlin.
