Butlins starts online search for Redcoats

An ‘X-Factor-style’ search for the next generation of Redcoats is to be conducted online by Butlins.
Would-be Redcoat audition videos are to be shown on the internet with consumers encouraged to vote for their favourites.
Hopeful Redcoats are being urged to upload audition videos to YouTube, with the best 300 applicants being put through to the next round of interviews.
The UK holiday park company claims to receive thousands of applications for just 20 new Redcoat positions created each year.
Head of entertainment Mike Godolphin said: “It’s time for the Redcoats to go online.
“The Redcoat auditions are always an important time of year for us and we’ve now truly embraced the social media phenomenon and invited the nation to become part of the process.
“We’re even on Twitter. Hopeful Redcoats are about to become internet stars for the first time.”

2. To enter log on and upload a video beforeNovember 15
