CAA-bonded operator goes under
The Civil Aviation Authority has called in the ATOL bond of Airline Limited, which sold package holidays and flights, and had over 1,000 clients abroad.
The Herfordshire-based agent ceased trading on Friday. It specialised in Spain and Portugal, and according to the CAA there are more than 1,000 Airline Limited clients abroad, who will be protected by ATOL.
The CAA says it will use the ATOL bond of £1,460,000 to ensure that the holidaymakers can complete their holidays and fly home, as well as ensuring clients with bookings are refunded.
Airline Limited had an office in London, and also traded under the names: The Holiday Store, The Independent Holiday Company, Respect Holidays, and Maclaine Holidays.
