Canada beefs up testing for foreign air arrivals
Canada is imposing new testing requirements on all travellers arriving by air and three new countries were added to the banned list.
It restricts entry for foreign travellers who have been in Nigeria, Malawi and Egypt in the past 14 days. They join South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini.
All air travellers arriving in Canada, except from the US, must also take an additional Covid test on arrival at the airport. This is in addition to the existing pre-departure test.
