Canada Tourism names new UK boss
A former senior manager with VisitBritain has been named UK managing director of the Canadian Tourism Commission.
Rupert Peters, formerly VB’s vice-president for the Americas based in New York, takes up the new position on May 1.
Nim Singh has been acting UK managing director for the CTC.
Peters, who had also held European roles with VB, said he was looking forward to playing a “pivotal role in a premier market†for Canada.
He said: “In the UK, we’ll be taking full advantage of the 2010 Winter Games as a platform to promote Canada as a happening now destination.â€
