Canadian Grand Prix canceled again
The Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal has been officially cancelled for a second year running. Pierre Fitzgibbon, Quebec’s economy minister, made it official at a press conference, although the cancelation was not a surprise.
The race was scheduled for 13 June. Fitzgibbon has vowed to bring the race back next year and due to two years of inactivity, the host agreement has been extended to include 2030 and 2031.
Race promoter François Dumontier says he is confident there won’t be problems next year as most Canadians will be vaccinated by the fall of this year.
