Canadian Tourism Commission seeks higher profile
The Canadian Tourism Commission in London has launched a campaign to raise the profile of the country’s cities.
The campaign involves television, web and radio advertising slots and classified newspaper advertisements. A dedicated cities supplement is also being distributed with a Sunday newspaper.
CTC UK and Ireland director Ian Harrower said that Canada was well known for its nature and adventure options but not enough effort was being made to promote its cities.
“As a four season destination, we are keen to highlight the fact Canada is not as far away as some of our competitors and our cities offer a very cosmopolitan experience.”
Meanwhile, the CTC has confirmed the ninth annual Spotlight Canada show will go ahead at the paragon Hotel in London on March 4 to 5 2003.
